Rise in drug rehab admissions call for holistic drug rehab

A report recently released by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) revealed an 8 percent increase in opiate rehab admissions over the past decade. Alcohol and marijuana also saw an increase in rehab admissions – alcohol, at 42 percent, with the second being opiates, including prescription pain killers, at 21 percent.“We are interested solely in getting people into recovery, not just into rehab,” begins a spokesperson for Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center. “This report doesn’t address how many individuals entered rehab a second or third time due to relapse; unfortunately, relapse is very commonplace. Mountainside is proud that individuals leaving its program have above-average, long-term sobriety success rates. Our program utilizes a holistic approach to treating individuals as opposed to simply treating the addiction. Our drug rehab is truly individualized for each person and that is one of the reasons our clients have such great success with staying sober.”

If you know or suspect that your loved one may have a problem with alcohol addictionor any other type of addiction, Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center offers professional intervention services to assist you in getting them the help that they need to recover. For the past 13 years, Mountainside has established itself as an innovator within the addiction treatment field, and the treatment modalities Mountainside utilizes are regarded as among the most cutting-edge approaches in helping individuals to get, and to remain, sober.
The compassionate, caring treatment team at Mountainside is comprised of licensed and certified counselors and social workers as well as a Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse, both of whom have specialization and extensive experience in drug addiction and alcohol treatment. For clients who may have psychiatric issues and/or a dual diagnosis, Mountainside provides the services of a Psychiatrist who also has specialization in addictions. As a result of their unique, innovative approaches to addiction treatment over the past 13 years, Mountainside has become the model for the addiction treatment field.

The program, along with its professional addiction treatment team, have earned national recognition and resulted in Mountainside being invited to Washington by the White House to meet with the White House Drug Czar, John P. Walters, for an in-depth meeting on what makes its program so successful. These accolades did not go unnoticed within the addiction treatment field and resulted in the adoption by many throughout the country of a more holistic approach to drug addiction treatment.

Medelita Offers New Caribbean Blue Medical Scrubs

Medelita®, maker of breakthrough performance medical scrubs and lab coats for both men and women, is excited to announce a new color option for their popular medical scrubs. Just in time for summer, Medelita is calling to mind tropical beaches and warm sunny days with the introduction of Caribbean Blue clinician scrubs for women and scrubs for men. Flattering on all skin tones, this modern and professional color is a statement of quality and achievement with name and title embroidery in the clinician scrubs teal option or men’s scrubs cocoa option. Caribbean Blue scrubs will be available for pre-order on July 1st with shipping commencing on July 15th.

The vast majority of scrubs on the market today are boxy, ill-fitting, and un-flattering. These shapeless, unisex uniforms fail to portray the level of

professionalism of those working in healthcare and dentistry. As an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant, Medelita Founder Lara Manchik, PA-C found herself constantly frustrated by uncomfortable fabrics, horrendous fits, and frumpy silhouettes. By founding Medelita, she set out to create a paradigm shift and offer high quality lab coats and scrubs consistent with the level of prestige and achievement earned by doctors, surgeons, dentists, PAs and other medical professionals.

Unlike most companies, Medelita offers different styles and colors in medical scrubs designed specifically for men or women. With Medelita, medical professionals are no longer forced to wear the bulky and uncomfortable unisex medical scrubs that became prevalent during the last five decades. Featuring ergonomic design features, Medelita scrubs allow professionals a wide range of motion and comfort.

In addition to looking good and feeling comfortable, Medelita medical scrubs are also designed to be both functional and durable. Medelita scrubs are made with a special performance drirelease® fabric with FreshGuard® – making them moisture-wicking, quick drying, and odor-resistant. Drirelease® fabric pulls moisture away from the skin and help to regulate skin temperature, minimizing sweat and discomfort. FreshGuard® is bacteriostatic; it neutralizes and inhibits the growth of bacterial odors – virtually eliminating odor from the uniform.
